Research on the exploration and integration of ideological and political elements into the classroom of general genetics

Abstract

The ideological-political education is a comprehensive educational concept that combines various courses with ideological-political theory courses in the form of constructing a pattern of full staff, full process, and education, forming a synergistic effect. It regards "cultivating morality and cultivating talents" as the fundamental task of education. The ideological-political elements mainly include moral and ethical qualities, ideological-political literacy, patriotism, professionalism, and innovation ability. The present study preliminarily explores the ideological- political elements of genetics, which prompts students to think deeply. Finally, the ways to integrate ideological-political elements was explored into genetics courses, including promoting ideological-political construction of courses based on teaching design, innovating rich and colorful classroom teaching models, integrating various modern teaching methods, and introducing ideological-political cases of "genetics" courses. Promoting the effective integration of ideological-political elements with genetics professional knowledge, so that genetics teaching can achieve the goal of full education and all-round education, and fulfil the comprehensive development of students.
