This research article investigates the intricate relationship between personality traits and athletic success among inter-collegiate level sportsmen. The study recognizes the multifaceted nature of personality and its potential impact on an athlete's performance and overall achievement in competitive sports. Drawing upon a diverse sample of inter-collegiate athletes participating in various sports disciplines, this research employs a comprehensive assessment of personality traits, encompassing the Big Five personality factors: extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience. Through a combination of psychological assessments, performance metrics, and athlete interviews, this study explores how specific personality traits may contribute to or hinder athletic success. Additionally, it examines the interaction between personality traits and other factors such as self-efficacy, motivation, and resilience to provide a holistic understanding of the psychological determinants of athletic achievement.
