At-risk intervention framework and practises in a pacific regional setting
Abstract
Enrolled students withdrawing or dropping out of university courses and programs do have financial implications on the smooth running of educational institutions. This study reviews practises engaged in supporting and assisting at-risk students in the Department of Accounting and Economics of the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship (FOBE) at the National University of Samoa (NUS). Analysing the data on intervention practises across a span of eight years, has confirmed that early intervention could positively impact the performances of at-risk learners within the Pacific region.
