Abstract

Malls are the perfect places to implement green design concepts as a result of the increasing importance of sustainability in urban development. There are several benefits to including green spaces, such as improved air quality, increased visual appeal, and increased leisure and relaxation time. Examples of these locations include rooftop gardens, interior plants, and vertical green walls. However, actual research on the benefits of these green spaces in the context of business hubs is scarce. The purpose of this research is to investigate the integration of innovative green spaces within shopping centers and the effects these areas have on overall mall functionality, environmental sustainability, and user experience.
The study's findings contribute to the growing body of knowledge on sustainable urban design and offer useful insights to legislators, developers, and architects that engage in the field of mall management and development. By highlighting the benefits and challenges of including green areas in shopping malls, this research aims to guide future design decisions and promote the development of more environmentally friendly and user-centric retail settings.
