A conceptual framework of knowledge management and job performance among Academicians
Abstract
This paper reviews the influence of knowledge management on job performance among academicians. Knowledge management improves performance and enables the acquisition of shared knowledge. With knowledge sharing, academicians have a broader view of the field of work and problems that exist on a corporate scale. For the organization, combining individual knowledge from the academicians will obtain the foundation of the organization's knowledge. Knowledge management can positively impact university processes directly or indirectly by saving time and costs, increasing knowledge assets, and increasing adaptability. Knowledge management practices will improve the job performance of academicians and encourage them to teach more enthusiastically. The implications of this paper hope that this can be a starting point for a more drastic change in each individual who holds the title of academician so that they become more committed to their duties as educators.
