Abstract

Terrorism has been around as a major nuisance to governments long as recorded history. The Bible advocates terror, assassination, and annihilation in several places. Hitler's rise to power (1932) involved plans for genocide. Nations like Ireland, Cyprus, Algeria, Tunisia, and Israel probably would have never become republics if not for revolutionary terrorism, and more than a few people would say the United States was founded on terrorism. There is no one, good definition of terrorism. In fact, it might be impossible to define because it is intangible and fluctuates according to historical and geographical contexts. Terrorist activity has been especially more frequent in the Middle East and Asia this decade. According worldwide Terrorist Attacks 1970-2007, we can see the increasing from the end of the 20 century till today, of terrorist attacks by comparison of the fatal attacks, and 10 fatalities attacks. So from the year 2005 we can see a big jumping of the frequency of all kinds of the global terrorism attacks . According the Emerging Terrorist Hotspots we can learn that most of them in Asia (8) one in Africa and one in the Middle East: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iraq, Nepal, Kashmir, Rwanda,Thailand,West Bank/Gaza(2). Terrorist acts in Russia, for example, have not only increased In fact, since just before the start of Vladimir Putin’s presidency,(acts in Chechnya Moscow, Northern Caucasus., Volgodonsk) . It was found that the Ethnic Terrorism is the main reason of Global Conflict and Terrorism Trends .Also It was found that Organizations professing a democratic ideology are significantly less likely engage in terrorism, and Organizations with the following characteristics are more likely to engage in terrorism : Separatism,Rhetoric justifying violence, Foreign Support, State Repression. An interesting subject was found about the fact that organizations that do not have a democratic ideology and have all the factors above, have an 89% likelihood of engaging in terrorism. The fact that 71 percent of American voters in the 2014 midterms were worried about a terrorist attack on the U.S. homeland, is an indication that violent groups like Al Qaeda, the Islamic State and Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula are still hovering in the minds of many Americans. Like it or not, terrorism will continue to be a problem for the United States, its allies and the rest of the international community. Like narcotics or petty crime, terrorism cannot be eliminated- it can only be degraded and managed to a point that allows everyone to live their lives in relative peace. Two examples of deadliest terrorist groups are operating today: .The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant which is most powerful and professional military into action halfway around the globe., and the Boko Haram which is the jihadist group in northeastern Nigeria.Yet Boko Haram has been menacing Nigeria’s northern communities for years. These are the 10 Terror Groups Alone Threaten The Existence of over A Billion People of the world: Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK), Hamas, Hezbollah, al-Nusra Front, Boko Haram, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, Taliban, Al-Qaeda Islamic State. This article Conclusions paves the way to some ideas: Criminological concepts, theory, and methods can help us start to understand terrorism, but we must be flexible enough to incorporate the differences into our theory, methods, and data collection efforts, and we must work well with others, because terrorism is a big big problem that needs ideas from many people with different perspectives.
