Therapeutic applications of Cuminum Cyminum Buffer Extract [CCBE]
Abstract
Current study describes Cuminum Cyminum Buffer Extract [CCBE] role on plasma coagulation cascade and also on its antimicrobial properties. The preliminary examination of CCBE explodes the presence of Tannin, phenol, glycosides, saponins, flavonoids and carbohydrates. Furthermore, to verify the number of phytoconstituent presence in the extract, it was subjected to GC-MS and HPLC analysis. Interestingly, CCBE elute 14 peaks in GC-MS analysis and only 4 peaks in HPLC respectively after the solvent peak elution in both the chromagraphy technique. Interestingly, CCBE exhibit antimicrobial property by inhibiting the growth of E.coli and S.aureus cultures in respective media at suitable temperature. To know the role of CCBE on plasma coagulation cascade it was subjected to plasma re-calcification time using Platelet Rich Plasma [PRP] and Platelet Poor Plasma [PPP]; fortunately it demonstrate mild anti-coagulant property by delaying the clot time from 180sec to 280sec. In addition, CCBE shows non-toxic property as it unable to cleave packed RBC in in-vitro study.
