Community centers, integral to urban development, foster inclusion and empowerment among diverse communities. This study investigates the nexus between social inclusion and architectural design, focusing on community center architecture in Lagos. It explores the evolution and types of community centers, highlighting their role in enhancing social inclusion. Case studies from Lagos, like Isolo and Yaba, illustrate how architectural design shapes social inclusion and dynamics, highlighting important features such as accessibility, inclusivity, etc. Lagos community centers are promising, yet enhancements such as improving spatial arrangements and other aspects are required.
