Family Education in the Qur'an: A Study on Surah al-Ahzab 59 and Surah al-Baqarah 133
Abstract
This study pays attention to the concept of family education contained in the tafsir of Surah al-Ahzab verse 59 and Surah al-Baqarah verse 133, which were analyzed by scholars such as Ibn Kathir, Qurtubi, and al-Munir. Family education is represented by both parents who are responsible for guiding family members to have personalities that obey Allah and parents, as well as maintaining family honor by maintaining aurat and practicing hijab. This study aims to identify the interpretation of verses on family education in Surah al-Ahzab verse 59 and Surah al-Baqarah verse 133. This study uses the method of searching for information sources in the library to collect data from various sources such as books, papers, transcripts, and magazines that are relevant to the topic of discussion. The results of this study show that in the Qur'an, Surah al-Ahzab verse 59 and Surah al-Baqarah verse 133, there are several educational values which include: first, the value of creed education; second, education about filial piety to parents; third, dress ethics education; fourth, education to maintain honor; and fifth, moral education.
