Abstract

Sensors play a vital role in monitoring Earth processes and atmospheric components by collecting essential data through diverse platforms, including satellites, aircraft, and ground installations. These instruments are classified into two main types: active sensors, which generate their own energy source for observation, and passive sensors, which rely on detecting energy emitted or reflected from the surrounding environment. The primary application of sensors lies in quantifying and analyzing patterns of physical activity, emphasizing key parameters such as intensity, duration, frequency, and type. This paper explores the operational principles, applications, and significance of sensors in environmental and activity monitoring.
