Abstract

The peepal tree, scientifically known as Ficus religiosa, stands as a remarkable embodiment of nature's resilience and cultural significance at the Suchetgarh Indo-Pak border. The tree is a symbol of resilience, peace, and cultural bridging, representing the collective hopes, struggles, and resilience of those who inhabit the borderlands between India and Pakistan. It is also a vessel of local folklore and myths that enrich its cultural tapestry. This paper presents a case study of the conservation of the tree in the region's borderlands, highlighting its ecological and cultural value.
