The Impacts of Flight Cancellations or Delays on Passenger Attitudes for Enhanced Airline Services
Abstract
This study explores the impacts of flight cancellations or delays on passenger attitudes aiming to enhance the services the airline provides during the said disruptions. Specific inquiries focus on satisfaction with handling cancellations or delays, Better Capacity, On-time schedules, Reduced Waiting Times, and Improved Flight Forecast. The sample included 156 respondents, employing a mixed-method approach with surveys, questionnaires, literature reviews, and interviews. Results highlighted age-related differences in coping mechanisms, with younger passengers displaying more patience. Improved capacity, on-time schedules, and reduced waiting times positively impact satisfaction. The study recommends enhanced communication strategies, predictive technologies, and tailored services for different age groups to mitigate passenger dissatisfaction and improve overall flight scheduling systems.
