Abstract

Urban stormwater management has become very important because rapid urban growth has changed natural water systems. This article looks at using underground storage tanks in crowded city areas to deal with stormwater problems. These tanks are key in controlling water runoff, reducing flooding, and improving water quality. The study goes through design choices, following rules, new technology, and the problems during installation and upkeep. It also offers a detailed example of a multi-family housing project that used StormTech SC-740 chambers to meet water storage needs. Focusing on sustainable methods, the article shows how using green infrastructure, real-time monitoring, and advanced building methods creates smart and strong stormwater management systems. By meeting both present and future environmental aims, the findings show the value of underground storage systems in supporting sustainable city growth.
