Abstract

‍Dual-purpose underground retention systems are a sustainable idea for today's water management. They solve the problems of not having enough water and managing stormwater. These systems collect, store, and reuse rainwater for things like irrigation, landscaping and in industries. With advanced technologies such as smart monitoring and good filtration, they improve operations and keep water good for reuse. These systems are very important in cities. They help prevent floods, refill groundwater, and match sustainability goals. High installation costs, rules, and upkeep slow down their use. Removing these barriers with money help, new rules and better technology could help use these systems more in cities and the countryside, aiding both sustainability and climate defenses.
