A Comparative Study of Emerging Innovations in Resource Recovery in the U.S
Abstract
Electronic waste (e-waste) presents a huge environmental and economic concern in the United States, given the rapid technology improvements and high consumption rates. This study undertakes a comparative examination of new advances in e-waste recycling technology inside the U.S., focusing on advancements in resource recovery. Through a complete assessment of current literature, data collection from industry publications, and expert interviews, we evaluate the efficiency, scalability, and environmental impact of various technologies. Our findings emphasize the promise of innovative technologies such as electrochemical processes, bioleaching, and enhanced mechanical separation in boosting material recovery rates and minimizing environmental footprints. The paper concludes with recommendations for policy frameworks and industry practices to assist the adoption and optimization of these technologies.
