The Role of Job Satisfaction in Mediating the Influence of Leadership and Work-Life Balance on the Performance of Beauty Salon Employees in Denpasar City
Abstract
This study uses an associative quantitative approach to analyze the role of job satisfaction in mediating the influence of leadership and work-life balance on the performance of beauty salon employees in Denpasar City. The population used in this study is 126 salon employees. The sample was determined based on saturated sampling techniques so that the number of samples used was 126 respondents. Data were collected using a survey method with questionnaires as a research instrument. The data analysis used in this study is SEM-PLS. The results of the study show that; 1) leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction; 2) work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction; 3) leadership has a insignificant effect on employee performance; 4) work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on the performance of salon employees; 5) job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on the performance of salon employees; 6) job satisfaction is able to mediate the influence of leadership on employee performance; 7) and job satisfaction is able to mediate the influence of work life balance on employee performance.
