The Labour Market under Threat from AI and the Rise of Right-Wing Politics
Abstract
The advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is profoundly transforming the world of work. While these technologies offer unprecedented opportunities for automation and process optimization, they also raise concerns about job precariousness, employment displacement, and the growing concentration of economic power in the hands of a few technological corporations (Brynjolfsson & McAfee, 2017; Frey & Osborne, 2017) [6]. Simultaneously, the rise of right-wing governments in various parts of the world has driven reforms that promote labor flexibilization and market deregulation, further exacerbating uncertainty regarding the future of employment. This review article analyzes the combined impact of these factors on the world of work, exploring the threats and potential mitigation strategies from a critical perspective.
