This translation project aims to introduce Yu Chenglong’s anti-corruption thoughts and practices to English-speaking readers, and promote cross-cultural exchange of China’s historical anti-corruption experiences and present practice with ancient honorable officials as references. The report uses the “Comprehension, Expression and Adaptation” (CEA) framework to analyze some cases such as the translation of Yu Chenglong’s official positions and the interpretation of ancient sayings, from the aspects of understanding the original text, target language expression, and flexible adjustment. Through this translation practice, the translator not only deepened her understanding of Yu Chenglong, but also significantly improved her translation skills and upgraded her knowledge of cultural translation.
