Impact of business-to-consumer e-commerce to Vietnam’s GDP

Abstract

Business-to-consumer e-commerce plays an important role in the development of the national economy that maintains the steady flow of the distribution of products and services to consumers. The development of business-to-consumer e-commerce also helps to complete logistics activities and enhance the competitive value of the companies. This study analyzes the situation of business-to-consumer e-commerce in Vietnam in the period 2009 - 2020 as well as the effect on the GDP through the regression analysis. The results have demonstrated the continuous and rapid development of business-to-consumer e-commerce which has a positive influence on GDP growth in Vietnam in the period 2009-2021.
