Teaching English Language in Nigeria Via ICT Availability in Secondary Schools
Abstract
The paper is on teaching English language in Nigeria via ICT availability in secondary schools. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) refers to the use of computers and telecommunication technologies, systems and tools to facilitate the ways information is process, collected, transmitted and stored. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) comprise computers, software applications, hardware devices, wire and wireless technologies, internet and other electronic gadgets that used to communicate information to the public. Thereupon, the following areas were discussed in the paper; ICT resources in teaching English language, the use of ICT, implications of ICT, the concept of English grammar, types of grammar, poor application of ICT in teaching English language. Based on the concepts discussed recommendations and conclusion were made.
